Counter Magazine is looking for contributions which bring
the theme of ‘Bodies’ into conversation with food.

Potential topic areas: cultural practices of eating, gendered consumption, gut intelligence and health, human lactation, bodies that labour to feed other bodies (farm workers, chefs, kitchen hands). Articles could centre on human bodies, microbial, plant or animal bodies, bodies of water, bodies of knowledge, or Indigenous notions of body and Country. We aim to bring together a mix of voices and areas of expertise and disciplines from science to arts and culture.

We accept short and long form journalism, reviews, interviews, essays, artistic responses,
photo journalism, and recipes.
